From the summit, trekkers are rewarded with extraordinary panoramic views of Himalayan giants including Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II before descending into the stunning valley of Bimthang. The trek concludes through rhododendron forests and peaceful mountain landscapes before returning to Kathmandu, leaving travelers with unforgettable memories of remote Himalayan culture, rugged natural beauty, and the incredible achievement of completing the Manaslu Circuit.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon landing in this vibrant capital, you’ll be greeted with a warm Himalayan welcome and transferred to your boutique sanctuary in the heart of the city . Use this first evening to breathe in the crisp mountain air and settle into a land where ancient hospitality meets a modern, inclusive spirit.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Explore the sacred "City of Temples," from the tranquil, eye-to-eye gaze of the massive Boudhanath Stupa to the gender-fluid histories hidden within the golden courtyards of Patan. This day of cultural immersion is designed to ground your souls in Nepal’s rich heritage before you begin your journey toward the high peaks
Day 3 : Kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m) – 7 hrs Drive
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu through rolling hills, terraced farmland, and riverside villages. As you leave the bustling city behind, the landscape gradually transforms into lush countryside. Arrive at Soti Khola, a peaceful riverside settlement marking the gateway to the Manaslu region.
Day 4: Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (930m) – 6 hrs
The trek officially begins along the Budhi Gandaki River. You walk through dense forests, cross suspension bridges, and pass small Gurung villages. The trail winds through dramatic gorges before reaching Maccha Khola, a charming riverside village.
Day 5: Maccha Khola to Jagat (1340m) – 6 hrs
Today’s trail continues along the riverbanks with several ascents and descents. You pass natural hot springs and picturesque settlements before arriving at Jagat, a traditional stone-paved village and the official entry point of the Manaslu Conservation Area.
Day 6: Jagat to Pewa/Deng (1804m) – 6 hrs
The landscape begins to change as you ascend higher. Walk through subtropical forests, cross suspension bridges, and pass waterfalls cascading down rocky cliffs. Tibetan cultural influences start becoming visible in architecture and lifestyle.
Day 7: Pewa to Namrung (2630m) – 6 hrs
The valley narrows and the views become more dramatic. You enter alpine terrain and pass mani walls, prayer wheels, and chortens. Namrung offers your first magnificent views of Himalayan peaks and a deeper introduction to Tibetan Buddhist culture.
Day 8: Namrung to Lho (2957m) – 4 hrs
A shorter yet incredibly scenic day. As you trek toward Lho, the stunning north face of Mount Manaslu reveals itself in full glory. Visit Ribung Monastery and enjoy breathtaking mountain panoramas.
Day 9: Lho to Sama Gaun (3530m) – 4 hrs
The trail climbs gradually through alpine meadows with constant mountain views. Upon reaching Sama Gaun, a beautiful Tibetan-style village, you’ll feel immersed in high Himalayan culture beneath towering snowy peaks.
Day 10: Acclimatization Day – Excursion to Manaslu Base Camp (4400m) or Pungyen Gompa – 7 hrs
To adjust to the altitude, take a rewarding hike to Manaslu Base Camp for close-up glacier views or visit the serene Pungyen Gompa monastery. Both options provide unforgettable scenery and help prepare your body for higher elevations.
Day 11: Sama Gaun to Samdo (3865m) – 3 hrs
A relatively short walk leads you to Samdo, a remote village near the Tibetan border. The landscape becomes increasingly barren and dramatic, reflecting the harsh beauty of high-altitude terrain.
Day 12: Acclimatization Day – Day Trip Toward Tibet Border (5000m) – 8 hrs
An adventurous excursion toward the historic trade route bordering Tibet offers expansive Himalayan views and further acclimatization. The scenery here is vast, rugged, and awe-inspiring.
Day 13: Samdo to Dharmasala (4460m) – 4 hrs
Trek gradually upward to Dharmasala (also known as Larkya Phedi), the base camp for the upcoming pass crossing. Rest and prepare for one of the most challenging and rewarding days of the trek.
Day 14: Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larkya La Pass (5106m) – 10 hrs
The most spectacular day of the journey. An early morning ascent leads you across Larkya La Pass, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Himalayan giants including Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. Descend carefully into the beautiful valley of Bimthang.
Day 15: Bimthang to Dharapani (1970m) – 7 hrs
Descend through rhododendron forests and lush meadows. The scenery shifts dramatically from alpine wilderness back to greener valleys. Reach Dharapani, reconnecting with the Annapurna region trail.
Day 16: Dharapani to Kathmandu (Drive) – 10 hrs
A long but scenic drive back to Kathmandu concludes your unforgettable Himalayan adventure, filled with memories of remote valleys, high passes, and majestic mountain landscapes.
