Wellness Tour (Sailung)
About This Tour
Golden Era Travel and Tours presents a carefully curated 10-day Wellness Journey through the serene landscapes of Nepal, designed for an intimate group of 10–15 guests. Beginning on October 11(or any date that can fit you), aligned with the sacred start of the bright lunar phase (Shukla Paksha) and the opening of Dashain, this journey invites participants to reconnect with themselves through a harmonious blend of nature, spirituality, and cultural immersion. From the vibrant heritage of Kathmandu to the untouched tranquility of Sailung and the spiritual heights of Kalinchowk, each day is thoughtfully crafted to promote inner balance and mindful living.
The experience gradually unfolds from cultural exploration to deep immersion in nature. Guests will explore Kathmandu’s spiritual landmarks, before journeying into the peaceful hills of Sailung, where the focus shifts to detox, healing, and self-discovery. Surrounded by pristine landscapes, participants will engage in meditation, yoga, sound healing, and forest immersion practices such as Shinrin-yoku, supported by organic nourishment and a calm, distraction-free environment. The journey continues with a scenic hike to Kalinchowk, offering opportunities for stargazing, open-sky meditation, and deeper spiritual practices under the vast Himalayan sky.
As the journey approaches its peak, guests return to Kathmandu for relaxation and integration through spa and wellness therapies, preparing for the grand culmination on October 20—Vijaya Dashami (Tika Day) of Dashain. On this most auspicious day, participants will receive Tika and Jamara blessings from elders, symbolizing protection, prosperity, and renewal. The tour concludes with a heartfelt cultural celebration, leaving guests with a profound sense of clarity, connection, and transformation—making this not just a tour, but a deeply meaningful personal journey.
Day 1 – Oct 11 | Arrival in Kathmandu (Beginning of a New Cycle)
Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Kathmandu, where you are warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. As this day marks the auspicious beginning of Dashain and the start of the bright lunar phase, the evening is kept light and intentional. Guests are encouraged to rest, explore nearby areas at their own pace, and gradually disconnect from routine life. A gentle welcome gathering and team briefing introduces the journey ahead, setting the tone for mindfulness, presence, and transformation.
Day 2 – Oct 12 | Spiritual Immersion in Kathmandu
The day begins with a slow, mindful morning, followed by cultural exploration of Kathmandu’s sacred spaces. A visit to Shova Bhagawati Temple because this day is dedicated to Brahmacharini, along with exploration of Swayambhunath Mahachaitya and Basantapur Durbar Square. Throughout the day, you experience the rhythm of local life, enjoy nourishing traditional meals, and begin integrating simple mindfulness practices. As evening falls, we will be ready for 8 days tour of untouched Nature.
Day 3 – Oct 13 | Journey to Sailung (Entering Nature)
Leaving the city behind, you drive towards the serene highlands of Sailung. The journey itself becomes part of the experience, with scenic pauses to absorb changing landscapes—from bustling towns to quiet hills and open skies. Upon arrival, the atmosphere shifts noticeably: cleaner air, slower pace, and deeper silence. The evening invites gentle relaxation, mindful breathing, and your first true connection with nature’s rhythm.
Day 4 – Oct 14 | Grounding in Stillness (Sailung)
Your first full day in Sailung is about slowing down. Surrounded by untouched nature, you begin to tune into your body and breath through light yoga, meditation, and quiet reflection. The simplicity of the environment—open hills, fresh air, and natural sounds—becomes a healing force in itself. As night falls, the clear skies offer moments for stargazing, complemented by deeply relaxing sound healing sessions that encourage inner calm and balance.
Day 5 – Oct 15 | Forest Immersion & Inner Awareness
Today invites you deeper into nature through Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing)—a slow, sensory walk that emphasizes presence and awareness. With no rush or destination, you engage with the forest through sight, sound, and breath. The day flows gently between meditation, mindful movement, and rest. Evenings continue to offer opportunities for reflection, whether through silence, journaling, or simply lying beneath a sky filled with stars.
Day 6 – Oct 16 | Journey to Kalinchowk (Elevation & Expansion)
The journey continues towards Kalinchowk, gradually gaining elevation and expanding your perspective—both physically and mentally. The changing landscape brings a renewed sense of openness. By evening, the group gathers for a warm campfire under the vast Himalayan sky. The stillness of the mountains enhances meditation, while stargazing becomes a natural and unforgettable part of the night.
Day 7 – Oct 17 | Deepening the Practice (Kalinchowk)
With fewer distractions and a heightened sense of presence, this day allows for deeper inner exploration. Meditation sessions become more immersive, supported by the powerful energy of the surroundings. Sound healing, breathwork, and moments of silence guide you inward. Optional practices like visualization or advanced meditative techniques can be introduced for those seeking a deeper spiritual experience.
Day 8 – Oct 18 | Balance, Community & Open Sky
The day blends gentle activity with connection. A visit to local farms or villages offers grounding through simple, authentic interactions. Yoga sessions and mindful rest continue to support physical and mental balance. As night falls, an open-sky meditation becomes a highlight—lying beneath the vast sky, connecting breath with the rhythm of nature, and experiencing a profound sense of stillness and expansion.
Day 9 – Oct 19 | Return & Integration in Kathmandu
Returning to Kathmandu, you carry with you a sense of calm and clarity cultivated over the past days. This day is dedicated to integration—allowing the body and mind to absorb the experience. Spa therapies and massages help release any remaining tension, while the evening invites quiet reflection, preparing you for the meaningful closure of the journey.
Day 10 – Oct 20 | Celebration & Blessings (Vijaya Dashami)
On the most auspicious day of Dashain, you take part in the sacred celebration of Vijaya Dashami (Tika Day). Guests receive Tika and Jamara blessings from elders, symbolizing protection, gratitude, and renewal.
