Hidden in the foothills of the Ganesh Himal range, Ruby Valley is one of Nepal’s most authentic and least-explored trekking destinations. This seven-day journey takes travelers through traditional Tamang villages, lush forests, alpine meadows, and spectacular mountain landscapes, offering a unique glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region. The trek reaches the scenic Pangsang Pass (3,850m), one of the finest viewpoints in central Nepal. From here, guests are rewarded with breathtaking panoramas of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, and numerous snow-capped peaks stretching across the horizon. Along the trail, visitors encounter charming settlements such as Gatlang, Somdang, Shertung, and Borang, each preserving traditional lifestyles, ancient customs, and warm Himalayan hospitality.

Day 1: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460m)
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi through scenic river valleys, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages. Enjoy beautiful views of the Himalayan foothills before arriving at the gateway to Ruby Valley.

Day 2: Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,238m)
Begin trekking through forests and terraced farmland toward the traditional Tamang village of Gatlang. Enjoy stunning views of Ganesh Himal and experience the rich local culture.

Accommodation: Community Lodge/Homestay
Day 3: Gatlang to Somdang (3,271m)
Ascend through rhododendron and pine forests while enjoying increasingly spectacular mountain scenery. Arrive at Somdang, a peaceful highland settlement beneath the Ganesh Himal range.

Day 4: Somdang to Pangsang Pass (3,850m)
Trek through alpine landscapes to reach the magnificent Pangsang Pass. Enjoy panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, and surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 5: Pangsang Pass to Shertung (2,000m)
Witness a beautiful Himalayan sunrise before descending through scenic ridges and traditional villages. Arrive at Shertung, known for its rich Tamang culture and mountain views.

Day 6: Shertung to Borang (1,700m)
Follow peaceful trails through forests, farmland, and traditional settlements. Experience local village life while enjoying the tranquil landscapes of Ruby Valley.

Day 7: Borang to Dhadingbesi – Drive to Kathmandu
Descend to the roadhead and begin the return journey to Kathmandu. Enjoy final views of rural Nepal as your Ruby Valley adventure comes to an end.
