About This Tour

A profound journey into the hidden Himalayas, where ancient shamans, sacred rituals, and mountain spirits still rule the wilds of Dhorpatan.

Far beyond Nepal's popular trekking routes lies the remote Dhorpatan region, one of the last strongholds of authentic Himalayan shamanic tradition. Surrounded by deep forests, hidden valleys, and towering Himalayan peaks, the Magar communities of this region have preserved ancient spiritual practices for centuries. Here, shamans known as Jhankri and Dhami continue to perform sacred healing rituals, spirit ceremonies, and ancestral practices that remain deeply connected to everyday village life.

This journey is more than a trek through the Himalayas - it is an immersion into a mystical world where nature and spirituality exist as one. As travelers move through remote mountain villages like Taka and Lugum, they experience ancient traditions rarely seen by outsiders. The sound of the dhyangro drum, sacred chants beside firelight, and stories of mountain spirits create an atmosphere that feels timeless and deeply spiritual.

Combining breathtaking Himalayan landscapes with rich cultural encounters, the Dhorpatan Shamanism Tour offers a rare opportunity to witness one of Nepal's oldest living traditions. From dense alpine forests and isolated valleys to authentic shaman ceremonies and village life, this experience reveals a hidden side of the Himalayas that remains untouched by modern tourism.
